Yelis Fernanda Cifuentes Mu├▒oz

This investigation results from the interest to identify dynamics occurring within knowledge construction in an academic space like the university, through a methodological approach of descriptive-analytical type with which epistemological beliefs of university students are analysed with regard to Internet information sources, through a case. It also investigates about those evaluation criteria that students employ when undertaking academic tasks, by using information sources they find in the web.

In this way, it pretend to realise approaches to the mode in which students tackle research information, how they assess new information they have access to and how they structure their arguments, open new horizons to be able to build existing relationships between personal beliefs, each subject personal life stories and the assessment of information they obtain through the Internet with the pretension of understanding and explaining their implications on learning processes, not only academic but those learning processes throughout life experiences.
